\nDrawing inspiration from the deep roots of folk and Celtic musi
 c\, Tiller’s Folly weaves together a tapestry of sound that pays homage
  to their heritage while embracing contemporary influences. Their eclecti
 c fusion of traditional folk\, Celtic\, Americana and bluegrass elements 
 creates a distinctive sound that is both timeless and refreshing.

\nTh
 ey are led by ISSA (International Singer Songwriter Association) top male
  vocalist (2024) Bruce Coughlan\, whose soulful vocal\, captivating stage
  presence and fine crafted songwriting breathe life into every performanc
 e. Band members (International Bluegrass Association world champion) Nola
 n Murray and producer bass player Laurence Knight contribute their unique
  instrumental prowess and add stirring melodies and wizardry to driving r
 hythms and soul-stirring harmonies. They combine exceptional musicianship
  with an unwavering commitment to authenticity.

\nA special part of th
 e Tiller’s Folly repertoire comes from Stirring Up Ghosts\, an initiati
 ve Coughlan began in 1997 to preserve Pacific Canadian history\, heritage
  and culture through story and song. The project has grown into a remarka
 ble collection of songs about the people\, places and events that shaped 
 Western Canada\, presented in the bardic tradition of Celtic storytelling
 .

\nTheir latest work continues that tradition\, with songs exploring 
 everything from pioneers and gold-rush characters to the women who worked
  in Okanagan apple-packing houses during the First World War.
