DESCRIPTION:The Alberni District Fall Fair is a beloved end-of-summer tra
 dition in Port Alberni\, running since 1946 and staged each September at 
 the Fall Fair Grounds on Roger Street. Over four days it brings the Alber
 ni Valley community together for a classic agricultural fair experience: 
 livestock and 4-H displays\, home-craft\, baking\, garden and art competi
 tions\, a midway with rides and games provided by a travelling carnival\,
  food vendors\, and live entertainment on the main stage. Families come f
 or the animals\, the exhibit halls\, and the small-town atmosphere\, whil
 e local growers and makers compete for ribbons across dozens of categorie
 s. Organized by the Alberni District Fall Fair Association\, it is one of
  Vancouver Island's longest-running fall fairs and a highlight of the reg
 ion's autumn calendar. General admission is charged\, with discounted rat
 es for youth\, seniors and families\, and multi-day passes available. The
  2026 fair takes place September 10 to 13 at the Fall Fair Grounds on Rog
